About Us

He'e nalu Beach is a company that was created by a group of friends in math class. We live in Southern California and love the beach, summer time, and being outside and that is what inspired us to make beach and summer themed clothes. We first talked about wanting to start a business but never thought it was possible and something we could accomplish. We drew up some designs for fun and then realized that they were actually pretty cool and had potential.  We did research to learn about what it means and takes to create a business. We had a lot to learn about starting and running a business and we still are learning new things every day. However, we are inspired and determined to make strides each day to build on what we had the day before. We are constantly coming up with new ideas and designs and having a lot of fun in the process. History of the word He'e nalu:

He'e nalu is a hawaiian word that when put all together means surfing.

Hee meaning slide, and nalu meaning wave. When you put them together it means the act of sliding on a wave or surfing.
